Jesus displayed tender compassion in many ways — by touching lepers who were considered untouchables — by praying for forgiveness for the Roman soldiers who nailed his hands and feet to the cross — by his patience with disciples who lacked faith.    His compassion was so pure and strong that it brought healing to many.   Below are four examples of the healing results of  his tender compassion.

Matt 20:30-34          And, behold, two blind men sitting by the way side, when they heard that Jesus passed by, cried out, saying, Have mercy on us, O Lord, thou son of David. And the multitude rebuked them, because they should hold their peace: but they cried the more, saying, Have mercy on us, O Lord, thou son of David. And Jesus stood still, and called them, and said, What will ye that I shall do unto you? They say unto him, Lord, that our eyes may be opened. So Jesus had compassion on them, and touched their eyes: and immediately their eyes received sight, and they followed him.

Matt 14: 14        And Jesus went forth, and saw a great multitude, and was moved with compassion toward them, and he healed their sick.

Mark 1: 40-42          And there came a leper to him, beseeching him, and kneeling down to him, and saying unto him, If thou wilt, thou canst make me clean. And Jesus, moved with compassion, put forth his hand, and touched him, and saith unto him, I will; be thou clean. And as soon as he had spoken, immediately the leprosy departed from him, and he was cleansed.

Luke 7: 11-15      …he went into a city called Nain; and many of his disciples went with him, and much people.  Now when he came nigh to the gate of the city, behold, there was a dead man carried out, the only son of his mother, an she was a widow: and much people of the city was with her.  And when the Lord saw her, he had compassion on her, and said unto her, Weep not.  And he came and touched the bier: and they that bare him stood still.  And he said, Young man, I say unto thee, Arise.  And he that was dead sat up, and he began to speak.  And he delivered him to his mother.
